Wedgwood Majolica Aesthetic Bamboo & Cherry Pitcher – SOLD


A Wedgwood Majolica pitcher, c. mid 1800’s. in a Japanese influenced Aesthetic Movement mold of Bamboo & Cherry Blossoms. Pink ribbons are threaded through a ground molded to resemble a Bamboo fence. The ribbons end in tied bows where the handle joins the body. Branches of Cherry Blossoms climb the grayish-green “fence” which is on an Argenta white glaze. A bright turquoise interior.  The softer coloring of this piece is superb.

7 1/2″ high X 5″ from the handle to the spout.

Excellent but for some minor staining & crazing to the bottom as can be expected from age.
