A scarce English Majolica pitcher, attributed to William Brownfield, circa 1860. A large and heavy Aesthetic Movement piece showing aspects of the Honeysuckle vine. The flowers are glazed in yellow and deep pink with leaves in varying shades of green, all on a chocolate brown ground. The six paneled mold is divided by lighter tan colored branches. An ear shape handle also shows aspects of the vine. The interior and bottom are glazed in a bright turquoise. The glazing is particular to Brownfield Majolica.

9.5″ Dia. x 8.5″ high.

In Excellent condition – an extremely rare piece of Brownfield Majolica.
