Adderley Staffordshire Transferware Asparagus Server

A scarce asparagus server made by William Adderley, Longton, Staffordshire, England, circa 1880. A transfer pattern of wild flower bouquets and butterflies strewn across a mold of large dimensional overlapping leaves. Three pairs of asparagus spears are at one end, realistically glazed in greens and purple.

Marked with a stamped Floribella, the name of the pattern , WAA with the Adderley mark of a tall ship in a chain circle.
