Wedgwood & Royal Worcester

Wedgwood majolica uses glazes and modeling more formal than other potteries, but still with the naturalism and humor we've come to expect in majolica. Wedgwood produced cachepots, pitchers, candlesticks, cheese bells, umbrella stands, sardine boxes, plates in naturalistic patterns, bread trays, etc. In Wedgwood's familiar "greenware" the green glaze emphasizes the low relief patterning, typically of basketwork and foliage. Royal Worcester is a British pottery known for its history and classically English collections of porcelain since 1751.
