Jackfield, Jetware

Jackfield pottery is a type of red clay earthenware known for its lustrous black lead glaze, similar to Japanese black lacquer wares. It was named after Jackfield, a town in Shropshire, England. It is sometimes referred to as Jetware. The Dudson Potteries of Stoke-On-Trent produced large amounts of Jetware in the 1800's.
